our Profile

  • located in the Coromandel, we’re available locally + nationally to provide you with Residential Architectural Design Services for Urban, Multi-Unit, Lifestyle + Rural properties
  • we operate a small home based studio out of Whenuakite (between Tairua + Whitianga) + are generally available to meet with you anywhere at any time
  • we’re comfortable working in a range of architectural styles + won’t unnecessarily push our particular style preferences on to clients – we’ll listen to your requests / make suggestions + provide alternatives as/where appropriate
  • i’m thorough + accurate in my approach, but flexible + able to adapt with circumstances
  • on Fees : we probably won’t be the cheapest / nor the most expensive – our fees will reflect the extent of our involvement / expertise provided + the level of project complexity
  • on a Personal Note – i’m Ron : very interested in sport + cinema / enjoy travelling + trout fishing / keep active with running, blokarting + playing the odd game of golf / absolutely love a good glass of pinot
  • we love what we do ; we want you to enjoy the process + to be proud of the result

design Process

  • you make contact with us
  • we will send you a copy of our Guide to Architectural Services … then meet with you + visit the building site
  • you outline your project’s design objectives, budget, direction + timescale
  • we’ll listen / write-up a project Design Brief + provide a written Fees Proposal
  • you get to approve/sign a copy before we make a start … invoices are payable at the completion of each stage
  • we get creative … involving you as we progress … then technical … involve others ( i.e. surveyor / engineers / town planners / kitchen, interior or landscape designers ) as necessary … you get to approve each stage before we progress to the next
  • once the documentation is completed + you’ve signed it all off, we’ll apply to council for a Building Consent … then construction can begin

architectural Services

  • Discussions / Design Brief + Sketch Plans : defining the project’s design objectives + budget / indicative freehand outline drawing ideas
  • Concept Design : initial freehand (or cad) floor plans +/or elevations +/or site plan design proposals + alternatives
  • Developed Design Drawings : preliminary cad floor layouts, elevations, site plan, roof plan, cross sections + 3D imaging
  • Surveyor / Structural + Geotechnical Engineers / Town Planning Resource Consent Application : we’ll coordinate with any necessary third party consultants
  • Working Drawings + Specification / Building Consent Application : documentation for building consent + construction purposes
  • Tender Procurement +/or Construction Contract Administration +/or Construction Site Observation : (if/where required )
